ABOUT THIS CONCERT
Flamenco Live is our fund-raising concert event in collaboration with Flamenco Sin Fronteras. All proceeds from the concert tickets will go to Bethesda Care Services.
Founded in 1996, Bethesda Care Services (BCS) is a charity with Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status. We started with a vision of reaching out and meeting the needs of the community in Bedok area. Since then, BCS has been serving the children, youths, families and elderly in need within our community.
Flamenco Sin Fronteras brings together the flamenco community in a melting pot of dance, music and friendship for the benefit of BCS. Encounter the passion of traditional flamenco intimately and immerse yourself in deep soulful music and fiery dances originating from Spain.
Enjoy 7 different flamenco dance styles: Tientos, Cantiñas, Segiriyas y Martinete, Caracoles, Alegrías, Garrotín and Tanguillos.

Immerse yourself in the performances as Flamenco Sin Fronteras showcases the heart and soul of flamenco with deep soulful singing, strumming of melodic guitars against passionate and fiery dances representing unrequited love, loss, freedom and joy.
DANCE
The Heartbeat of Blacksmiths
One of the dance styles to be featured is the Segiriyas y Martinete, one of the oldest flamenco styles of significant importance, with styles across Seville, Cadiz, los Puertos, Jerez and Triana. Hear the heartbeat of ancient blacksmiths in Martinete in soulful reflection of human relationships as they forged swords in the 18th century.

In 1996, Bethesda Care Services (BCS) started with a vision of reaching out and meeting the needs of the community in Bedok area. Today, we reach out and CARE for the children, youths, families and the elderly within our community by providing services and programs tailored to meet their needs.
Through our five main service departments, we CARE for individuals and families, priortising the needs of the vulnerable in our community:

- BCS @ COLLEGE EAST | curated program on resiliency and positive values for ITE Youths
- FAMILY SERVICES | empowering families and individuals in adversity to over life’s challenges

About Flamenco Sin Fronteras | Artistic Director Antonio Vargas
Flamenco Sin Fronteras (FSF) is a Singapore based non-profit organization made up of a vibrant community of flamenco lovers who have offered to conduct this concert for the benefit of BCS and our beneficiaries.
Maestro Antonio Vargas is the artistic director of FSF, recognized as one of the world’s leading Flamenco dancers and choreographers. Ingenious, innovative and a perfectionist, he performs and teaches internationally, with works for theatre, cinema and television. He choreographed and staged a Flamenco segment for Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible II directed by John Woo and also played a cameo in this film.

Flamenco Sin Fronteras is also a non-profit organisation made up of a community of flamenco lovers who believe that dance is more than just an art form but a platform for individuals to express themselves freely and achieve artistic excellence.
They hope to inspire the nation through arts education programs for the youth and community outreach, and supporting other non-profit organizations in raising awareness of social causes that are relevant in Singapore. This year, they have offered to do this concert in support Bethesda Care Services.
There will not be any tax exemption given out on the purchase of tickets through the Peatix ticketing page.
However, donations made in support of this event via this donation form may qualify for 2.5 times tax exemptions.
