Plan monthly menus
Plan and procure groceries and kitchen equipment
Prepare and cook meals for the elderly, children, and staff
Clean kitchen equipment and work area
Workdays: Monday to Saturday

Requirements

Possess a professional cooking certificate
Experienced in mass cooking

Job Description

Conduct needs and intake assessment of cases
Provide casework management
Conduct counselling for children, youth, and families
Assess financial cases and administer financial applications and referral of resources
Plan and conduct groupwork or workshops for children
Plan and organize family engagement programmes such as parenting workshops and parent-child bonding activities.
Conduct community need assessments and implement community development initiatives

Requirements

A degree in Social Work or a post-graduate diploma in Social Work
Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Team player with integrity and commitment

Meet our youngest and most inspiring Social Work Associate, Min Fang. Her invaluable support for the elderly provides them with much needed care and helps them to retain their dignity and independence in this later stage in life. A difficult day for the elderly turns into a great one through that gentle voice speaking at the other end of a phone call or even a home visit from our staff. Volunteering is a work of heart. Meet Gimmy, our young Medical Escort & Transport (MET) volunteer who has been volunteering with us despite his busy university schedule. Gimmy has shown that in spite of life's busyness, we can always make time to care for those who need our help. It is rather a conviction of the mind and a way of life.

Volunteers are crucial in helping us change lives.

About our Medical Escort & Transport Volunteer Service:

- Each medical appointment takes about 3 to 4 hours. Appointments are scheduled any time between Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 6pm
- Volunteers have to be 18 years old and above
- A compulsory 1-day training course will be provided
- Preferably able to help out twice a month
