Job Description
- Serve as the project lead for cross-sector volunteer and outreach initiatives, working with key stakeholders including BBTC, grassroots organisations, community service agencies, schools, corporates, and other partners, to connect organisational programmes with community beneficiaries. This includes facilitating collaborative service-learning projects and enabling effective two-way integration between community partners and service providers.
- Review, implement, and continuously improve volunteer management policies, SOPs, and processes in alignment with NCSS Volunteer Management Capability Framework, sector best practices, and relevant regulatory and safeguarding requirements.
- Identify, develop, and diversify volunteer sources through active recruitment and mobilisation strategies to support BCS programmes and services.
- Oversee the full volunteer management life cycle, including recruitment, screening and interviews, matching, orientation, deployment, supervision, review and feedback, training, appreciation, retention, and exit processes.
- Implement and monitor volunteer risk management and safeguarding measures, working closely with programme teams to ensure volunteer suitability, role clarity, and safe engagement with beneficiaries.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with approved volunteer policies, SOPs, and documentation requirements across all programmes.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with grassroots organisations, community partners, statutory boards, and sector stakeholdersto support volunteer engagement and programme delivery.
- Network with volunteer management practitioners and sector partners to keep abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and opportunities for collaboration.
- Explore, evaluate, and support the implementation of Volunteer Management Systems (VMS) and digital tools to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting.
- Maintain, analyse, and regularly update the volunteer database to support operational needs, reporting, and strategic planning.
- Design, coordinate, and support volunteer engagement programmes and community activities, ensuring meaningful, inclusive, and well-managed interactions between volunteers and beneficiaries.
Requirements
- Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the social service sector or equivalent experience in volunteer management preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to volunteerism and community engagement, with the ability to work effectively with diverse volunteers, partners, and beneficiary groups.
- Strong communication, writing, coordination, administrative reporting, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated capabilities in planning, problem-solving, stakeholder coordination, and time management, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.

What a fun-filled and meaningful day at Action Motion HomeTeamNS!
It was especially heartwarming to see CIC staff journey alongside the youths through the challenges, encouraging and cheering them on throughout the activities.
The youths came from different programmes and initiatives across our community, including BB Primers, EXCITE regulars, Meals on Wheels volunteers and recipients of our 2025 bursary award. We were glad to bless and create meaningful experiences for students from lower-income families.
Though everyone ended the day tired, our hearts were full.
A big thank you to CIC for sponsoring a scrumptious lunch and for spending the day with our youths. We look forward to more collaborations ahead!

Our seniors felt the warmth of the Christmas season in a very personal way. 💛
For the third year running, CIC returned with hearts and hands ready to bless. 16 volunteers spent their Saturday personally delivering Christmas goodie bags to 50 seniors in our community.
These were not just bags of daily essentials. They carried care, presence and a reminder that our seniors are remembered. Each visit came with conversations, smiles and the quiet joy of being seen.
We are deeply thankful to CIC for their continued generosity and commitment. What was shared went beyond gifts. It brought comfort, dignity and lasting encouragement.
