Using dance as a medium of engagement, volunteers from Elevate the Streets (ETS) journeyed with our youths on a 6-month dance mentorship program - Breaking Space. This has helped our youths to develop their character and confidence.

The talks conducted were highly interactive and the Seniors were very forthcoming with their questions, leading to fruitful Q&A sessions. I truly believe that the talks tie together the holistic care that our Community Nurse Post embodies - which is to empower our Seniors with health information regarding their chronic diseases.
With strong partnership and support from BCS, the CS excITE 2020 mentoring program enabled our staff from Singapore and even Hong Kong to effectively connect and share with students their experiences and values on GRIT. The meaningful sessions received positive feedback and we look forward to continued collaboration with BCS.

I am part of this initiative called Elevate The Streets which is a ground up initiative that aims to bridge street subcultures with Social Services. Every lesson is really a learning journey where we little by little kind of understand what it means to work with youths. Till now, we continue to collaborate with Bethesda Care Services in online activities in light of the coronavirus. We try to deliver online B-Boy workshops in the form of YouTube videos.
